Illinois Secretary of State Vehicle Show and Swap Meet

Please join us on Saturday, Sept. 8, 2018, for the 68th Illinois Secretary of State Vehicle Show and Swap Meet at the Capitol Complex in downtown Springfield. The car show is held rain or shine at Second Street and Capitol Avenue. First-, second- and third-place awards are presented in 60 classes. All entries must be parked by 10 a.m. and the showfield gates will close at that time. There are no entries past 10 a.m. allowed to enter the showfield per committee rule. Entries are parked on a first-come, first-served basis with the committee directing the process. Judging begins after the judges meeting is held at the Illinois State Library. This starts around 11 a.m. One Marquee Award celebrating a Ford automobile will be presented and one Illinois State Champion will be recognized. If there is a tie for the State Champion, a random draw will take place. Registration is $10 per vehicle. Registering by Sept. 1st guarantees a gift bag. Limited, special edition license plates are available for $20 per set in commemoration of this historic event. Awards are presented at approximately 3:30 p.m. at the Illinois State Library lawn.
